First things first, why do we need to improve our writing? Is writing even relevant in 2020? Well, let's understand the importance of writing through some interesting statistics-
57% of people on the internet between the age of 19-29 read blogs online daily.
Around 7 million blogs are published online per day.
Companies with a dedicated blog receive 2X the business in 72% of the cases.
Well-written content puts up a better impression and in 9 out of 10 cases result in a desirable outcome. If you are somebody in college or working a job, writing skills is something you must definitely master.
3 Steps to follow using a simple tool
1) Always create rough drafts! ...Always!
A rough draft is an outline or an unpolished structure of the final result. Ideally, you want your rough draft to be 70 to 75% of the final output. You don't exactly need to be neat and legible but it must be understandable to you.
When you make a draft it helps in painting a more clear picture of the topic on hand and this allows one to be more expressive and clear with the final output. This stage also involves a bit of research and this can make your article more informative and interesting.
I can't stress enough the importance of this step, you don't need to spend a lot of time on it and you are allowed to do all the mistakes and not get in trouble, that's my ideal situation ;p
So, even if you're running late and pulling an all-nighter to reach a deadline- MAKE A ROUGH DRAFT FIRST, it always helps!
2) Keep it simple and use Grammarly to avoid grammatical errors

Now, you don't want to be caught having errors and spelling mistakes in your article. It's always best to keep your spellings and grammar in check but that can often be time-consuming and annoying when you're trying to meet a deadline. For this, you can ease your work by using Grammarly as a tool to take care of all those irritating grammatical errors and spelling mistakes.
Grammarly is a writing tool which uses artificial intelligence and natural language processing, it's free to use and easy to install into any device which helps in writing an effective and strong piece of content and most importantly allows you to produce content that is specific to the point as people don't have the time or patience to read a long essay. I personally use it for my articles.
It's important to make sure your content is easy to read and gets across to the readers well.
This might look like a fancy word but trust me when I say it's a lifesaver. Proofreading simple means to recheck your work for errors and mistakes.
Many people either ignore this step or try to do it while they are writing. Proofreading must be done on its own with full focus, it helps in preventing those little mistakes and gives a second chance for fact-checking.
Once you have mastered the 3 steps above and understand how to work your way around an article you can move towards Grammarly's premium version but don't rush, make sure you work on the basics first and build a strong base structure.
Hope this article helps you :)
